$100 shipped for either hunter
Here's a nice hunter I just finished. I really like how this one feels in your hand, very curvy and fits just right. This D2 steel is some of the toughest stuff I've ever worked with, and I believe this will make a great knife for anyone.
Specs
Hollow ground from 1/8" D2 tool steel, finished to 600 grit and then shotblasted.
9 1/2" overall with 4 1/8" along cutting edge
Handle is stabilized box elder burl with yellow fibre spacers and an ironwood spacer
Guard is 416 stainless
Nice 8-10oz leather sheath included, custom made by a friend of mine who makes all my sheaths. It's right handed, but a left handed, cross draw, etc can be substituted if desired, it'll just take a few days for him to make it.D2 hunter is sold
Asking price is $150 shipped on this knife.
Second is a stag hunter in D2. This is one of the few knives I've done a hand finish on, and the first, and possibly only, in D2. This stuff is tough, and it took quite a few hours sanding to get it perfect. I got the green-dyed stabilized maple burl at the blade show, and I really think it looks awesome on this knife. So, here are the specs
.140 thick D2 tool steel, just over 1/8"
10" overall, 4 1/2" along cutting edge
hollow ground, hand finished
Stainless bolster
Stag handle with green dyed stabilized maple burl and blue spacers
Asking $150 shipped for this knife
Next is a skinner with a saw back. I got this blank from Jantz at the Blade show because I liked the shape. I reshaped the handle a bit because it was too small for my hands, redrilled the holes to accomodate the handle bolts I use, and had a custom sheath made for it. It has a machine finish, and is very sharp. it's 7 1/2" overall, and 3 1/4" along the cutting edge. I'm asking $65 for this knife, which isn't much above the materials I have in it.
Last are four small knives, all are hollow ground from 1/8" 1095. One is a clip point with tan linen micarta scales, one is a drop point with stabilized maple scales, third is a small skinner with black linen micarta scales, and the last is a skinner with green dymondwood scales. All come with either a right handed belt sheath or a clip sheath. All are right at 6" overall, with 2 3/4" cutting edges, except for the dymondwood skinner, which is 6 3/4" overall I'm asking $60 each on these knivesskinner with green dymondwood scales spf to ghale
I take paypal at coolhandluke4@juno.com, or postal money orders. Post, pm, or e-mail with questions. Thanks!
