The tang is tapered to .125" at the back of the handle. It has a flat grind and sanded to 600 grit then buffed. The handle is sanded to 400 grit then buffed and has a Briwax finish.

Machaira, I am glad you like it. I really like that knife and had a hard time parting with it...But you will get some great use out of it on some sows and bucks.
