Kitchen knife. D2 steel with stabilized spaulted birch handle. Blade 4 inches x 1 ¼ wide. Custom wolf track rivets. Custom cast raven guard of propeller bronze. Acid etched highly detailed bird scenes on both sides. copper forged into steel for decoration $420

I see this as an all around kitchen knife with lots of uses. I made a sheath for it with belt loop so this could be a skinner outdoor knife , but the sheath can protect it in a drawer when not in use. I know D2 tends to be a controversial steel, not commonly used in a kitchen knife. But I like its semi stain resistance, and ability to keep an edge forever. Its a difficult temperamental steel to handle but worth it when it comes out right. This blade does 500 strokes on a brass rod and still cleanly cuts paper. Normal is 250 strokes.

The blade is cryo deep cold treated between two tempers. I did my usual copper brass forging into the surface for decoration. The acid etch came out crisp deep and clean and will never go away with use. A good kitchen knife gets used a lot and becomes a person item. This knife has personality

The best way to buy this is to use the pay pal shopping cart on my web site . http://www.milesofalaska.net/Custom_knives/index.html. This knife is about halfway down the page. Or direct to pay pal , miles@milesdofalaska.net is my account. Include $8 to ship in the US by flat rate priority. Any questions contact me.
