Should I get one? I have a CFBG42 and love it. Think it would be cool to own a D2, CF BG42, and a S30V. Am I crazy?

Get one while you still can. The steel is great.

My goal is to have one of each steel, and I should reach it soon.

The Military is one of those knives where I really see the appeal for getting all the steel and handle variations you want. The D2 steel performs quite well and the green handles are such a nice change from the usual black. So yeah, I don't think you'd regret nabbing one.

Your not crazy, get one while you can. Then you'll have a Military for left side carry, right side, and IWB. :)

I have both the D2 and the BG-42. I find that they compliment each other quite nicely. ;)

My CPM D-2 Millie is my first Spyderco. But it won't be my last. I intent to get every Millie made. :p I have a Millie in S90V on order. :)

As soon as I get it, I'll start nagging Sal to make it in CPM M-4! :D:thumbup::D

I know I've said this elsewhere, and forgive me for bring repetitive ( humor me, I'm old....or should I say pity me ! :D )...... back before Jeff Randall began his collaboration with Ontario knives to produce the RAT line, he and his crew used to take various knives down into the jungles of Peru, test them under the harshest of conditions, and then post reviews on this Adventure Training website. I remember the write-up he did on the 440V Military......it was ungraciously abused in every conceivable way.......... from splitting wood to skinning caymen......and it came through with flying colors. It was quite a remarkable review....I wish I had copied it because it was such a good read for the arm-chair explorer like myself. After reading Randall's review, I promptly went out and bought a Spyderco Military and then signed myself up for a seven day wilderness canoe trip down the lower canyons of the Rio Grande. I didn't skin any caymen....but I did use the knife to snag the last pickle out of a near empty jar :o.....and it performed admirably ! :)

Absolutely. And the D2s are on pretty good sales these day.

S90V models just hitt'n the streets... Major COOL!

Ordered a D2 today. Can't wait for it to get here. Wonder how a full serrated S30V would be to go with it?
