Hey lads :)

thinking about a Para in either D2 or S30v steel. Which is the better steel for a hunter, EDC/work-knife(boxes, straps etc) & home chores.
I use S30v in my SMF, works great. But I'm wondering about D2. So what are the PRO's & CON's

Thanks in advance

For me about the same, but the CPM D2 is limited on Spydercos, get it while you can!

I have many knives with D2 and S30V, but I haven't played with any Spyderco's D2, in fairness.

I like D2, and I'll keep buying it, but S30V is my preference.

CPM D2 gets sharper and holds it's edge longer than S30V for me. I will put up with slightly less corrosion resistance for better performance every time.

I think I will pick up the green D2 tomorrow after work at a local store for $100.00 +tax. What is wrong with me, I have enough knives but I like this one very much.

What's the name of the store, and where's the location?

D2 performs much better than any of the S30V versions.. wet or dry.

This is a very strange picture and I can't get it out of my head. So many things just don't make sense: "MAY" tag, corn(?)muffin, smallest ketchup bottle ever... Is a puzzle of sorts? Are the seemingly random assortment of objects supposed to tell a story? Or is confusion the ultimate goal?

Yeah Karl, now that you point that out, that is a very strange photo indeed. kechup, watermelon, cornmuffin, and burn cream........

I don't know...think Memorial Day at the lake. You know, sunburns, watermelon, BBQ. There you have it.

Too funny! I was actually thinking along that line, but I thought it too whacky to mention. And throw the muffins into that picnic basket as they're perfect packed food items.

Yeah, it's like a representation of things you might find in the month of May. Like a kid's display at a county fair or something. Except for the crazy knife thing.
