D2 Paramilitary

Just got mine. Looks and feels like a pretty good knife. I like the foliage green G-10 myself.

It's my first Spyderco that isn't a mid-lock so I'm just doing some handling practice to get a feel for the compression lock. Interesting design.

All right, I guess I can say that it's nice!

I had been a little hesitant about the Para-Military since in all the photos it looks kinda goofy with a long handle and short stubby blade. Much nicer when it's in the hand, then it starts feeling quite natural. Comfortable and ergonomic to hold and the weight is nice and low, hardly noticeable. Quite enough blade there for most tasks I'd say. Love the flat grind and edge is good and proper sharp. The CPM D2 feels like it has potential, good response to a bit of stropping and certainly cuts with little effort.

Upon purchasing I was thinking that if I don't like it I can always move it on and get something else, but seeing how handy this knife is I think it's going to be a keeper.

this thread needs less drama, more para.

Here is a pic of mine, newly patina'd in red wine vinegar

Very nice!

It is a very durable finish as well. Mine looks almost the same after several months of hard use.

PS! The Millie is even better in D2;)

I got mine on a buy it now for 140. Seller shipped quick. It is a great knife. It came hair whittling sharp. I really enjoy it. I may look for a Military in D2 now. I like how D2 holds an edge.

I love my d2 para. Great little edc. Light and very functional. I tend to use 4 " blades but this guy gets used regularily:).
