I big big fan from way back, but I think the handle material just doesn't match with the beautiful blade sculptured blade and hand guard.

You guys are probably right, I just hate the thought of re-handling this one. Besides, it'll darken with age...

I actually dig the handle.

I wouldnt mind owning this little baby, but the length would relegate it to a camping knife only. I am a D2 fan as well as a recurve fan. But 400 is steep for a camper/climing companion for me.

Beautiful through and through !

Well, I think I'm gonna put another handle on this. I hate the thought of it, but it's better than having it languish for years on here. :-)

I'll be using either black micarta or african blackwood. So if someone is interested and has a preference, please let me know. I will, however, be raising the price back up to $500.

Ok, here's the new handle. I decided to go with the african blackwood.
