Ive never heard of this steel before today. Looking at a company called Countycomm, and they have some mini prybars made out of it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just looked it up on the knife steel composition chart:

Obviously, from the composition (as well as the notes), it's not a cutlery steel; that's almost certainly the reason you haven't heard of it. I hadn't heard of it either until I picked up a couple of those Countycomm mini prybars.

EDIT: Doh, beaten to the punch by Gator97. :p

Yeah, I do like them. I was looking for a keychain prybar and got three different sizes -- the Pico Widgy, Micro Widgy, and Pocket Widgy (or whatever the version one size up from the Micro is called) -- since I wasn't sure which I'd prefer. The Micro Widgy ended up being the clear winner for me. It's large enough to be useful but small enough that it's still easily carried on my keychain (it's about the same length as an automobile key). I haven't used it for much aside from removing a few nails here and there, but it's held up fine.

Thats the size I was thinking about getting. Do you think the all titanium version would be stronger or the d9 steel?

Unfortunately, I don't really know enough about D9, aside from my very limited experience using it on my Micro Widgy, to say whether it'd be stronger than the all Ti version.

They would be lighter and rustproof.. Stronger? Probably not. Remember that titanium is stronger per unit weight than steel

Btw these things are knifesavers, anytime you want to pry and dont want to use your knife tip, this 4$ piece is a lot better than your 150$ folder
