Finally got a Daboia from custom knife factory. Very pleased with it! A few things I noticed: Daboia is a type of snake, and I see very prominently in the design there's the profile of half a viper's head and body in the cutout up by the thumbstud with the glowing tritium making the viper's glowing green eye! Awesome touch that no one seems to have noticed!
Second thing is the backspacer is a little different than the others I've seen. At the bottom the lanyard hole is smaller and lower profile. Anybody know when this change happened? I like it, just curious when it evolved to this.
Third was that the machined pocket clip grabs kinda harshly on my pockets, there's a sharp edge to the lip of the cutout at the back of the framelock just under where the clip contacts the frame. So I removed the clip and just slightly rounded the edge with a stone wheel on my dremel, just under where the pocket clip makes contact, then polished it to smooth it a bit. When I replaced the pocket clip, you can't even see the alteration. It's still snug and secure in my pocket, just not so sharp and grabby when I slide it out. Great knife! Artsy and cool and I love it!
