I liked the Hi-Power, but would rather have an AR for when AHBL. Pic:

Mead! the stuff hangovers are made of. Kinda like apple wine that way.
Only tip I know: don't drink it out of a metal vessel - I know, I know, who DOES that? Apparently it reacts with certain metals. Dunno about stainless.

I've never heard of mead before lurking here....I'm very interested...is there anywhere where I can buy some to sample? I've searched mead on google, but what I'm getting is mostly How-To guides...

Yeah, I'm itching to try it. That or the quarterly baths aren't enough to keep the bugs at bay.

I don't recall how it was said or if someone just mentioned it, but there was talk of combining april/may into one contest....

I could see that. With E gone to PWYP and the gathering next month, it'd be tough to have the powers that be's full attention.

Yeah, I just read your thread. Interesting process, good way to modify the technique.
 
Nice score Jarod! I built one last summer with the Spikes upper / lower and it's slowly evolved month to month. Right now I'm considered putting a 300 AAC barrel and free-float tube from Midwest Industries on it. I find that I don't have a lot of use for the smaller rounds, but a 30-cal round in an AR platform would be very useful for me.
