A few years ago, I asked Vince if he would be interested in making a dagger at his leisure in pretty much any style he was interested in making. Having known him and Grace for a while, I knew that if he wanted to do it, I would enjoy the result.
We do not see very much of his work posted here and at Blade his work vanishes quickly in the hands of collectors almost as fast as the blink of an eye. So I wanted to post some pictures here for others to check out.

Just got word that Vince has finished it. Thank you Vince. I could not have hoped for anything nicer.
Here are some pictures he sent.

I love that. It looks very medieval. It has so much character. One of the nicest daggers I've seen in a while.

I couldn't agree more. It really looks period. I think all the extra touches, especially the style of engraving, give it a presence you seldom see - as ray suggests, medieval character. It's wonderful.

Extraordinary.
Looks as though it could be a very well cared for museum piece.

Congratulations Gus!

Man, is that ever nice. The more I look the more I see. The more I see, the more I DON'T see...

His usage of space is so complimentary. I love the look of all those panels. He could have filled the front of the guard up with his carvings, but there is plenty of that elsewhere. Leave it quiet.

To say the carving/engraving is 'organic' would be too obvious. ;)

That's your style, too: Just have at it, when you can. Tell them Coop highly approves. :)

Just what is meant by carrying on a traditional art, and so beautiful besides. Also, just what to expect from Vince.

That's truly beautiful. Love everything about it. That panneling in the ricasso area is super cool and very well executed. Gus that is a piece for the ages.

When it comes to two edged weapons I cant think of another name besides Vince Evans. Superb from the carved pommel to the blood thirsty tip.

That is awesome, thanks for posting this. We don't see enough Vince Evans stuff on Bladeforums. He is the best at historical weaponry in my opinion. I would give just about anything for one of his basket hilts.

I knew it would be impressive, but Vince took it to another level. Damn.

Someone is going to act like this - - - - ->

for months. :p

Vince is the Master
A collector asked me what I would buy if I could have my choice at the Blade Show
I told him I would have Vince make me whatever he wanted to.

Fantastic dagger from one of the finest makers on the planet !
Congrats on this masterpiece, Gus !

All the kudo's go to Vince. My part in this is just luck as well as friendship. He is the one with the talent and determination to travel the world to study and be inspired by old works.

Gus,

Congrats to you and Mr. Evans on a wonderful piece! Is this the dagger you spoke about when we last talked?

Again, congrats.
