Dagger just finished by Vince Evans

Ken,

Yes it is. I was expecting it for Blade, but Vince finished it a little early.

Gus,

I can understand why you were excited about this one.

my goodness that is lovely. And thank you for turning me on to his work. I just visited his website and am blown away.

First, let me say that is an outstanding piece, thanks so much for letting us see it. I too given my choice of anything at Blade would appopriate whatever sword that Mr. Evans has on his table that year. As you say Evans pieces are hard to come by, he doesn't make many and the ones he does make are quickly snapped up by collectors.

As a side note Mr. Evans is one of the most decent people you could ever hope to meet, as is his wife Grace.

Vince is the HEAT!

I have a khukuri of his that nails it as well. When he makes something it is about as perfect as you can ask for.

Enjoy this one with pride, my brother!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

It's all been said already, but add my congrats to theirs, Gus. A truly masterful piece.

BEAUTIFUL work on all counts. The backround removal in the engraving alone must have taken a LONG time! Stunning dagger!

CONGRATS Gus!

Peter

Both Vince and Grace are great folks and they are both very talented. This dagger is a great example of their attention to detail. I am amazed at the level of research that Vince brings to his creations. This a wonderful knife!!

The knife looks great, very beautiful work, congrats Gus. -:thumbup::cool:

Gus, GREAT INVESTMENT/ object of affection. You already know what I think of Vince, Grace, & you too for that matter.

Envious....

I absolutely love it! Man, what an impressive piece. How about some details - materials, dimensions, what isnpired this particular style etc.? I'm greedy, I know!

Congrats Gus,

Roger

That's beautiful Gus.
The detail in the handle and cross gaurd are a perfect setup for the blade itself.
Definitley should become a family heirloom.

Vince's work deserved it so it was sent to Jim first and I got my hands on it yesterday (right after a cataract procedure and it will be a couple of days before my eyes can focus well.)

I really do not have the details yet and will spend some time with Vince at Blade so he can fill me in.

This knife has, if you will, 'Reverence'. I knew when I first saw it it would benefit from a better display.

Gus and I talked and he asked Vince to send it my way before it boomeranged home to Gus.

There is beauty on every panel and facet. A pleasure to handle--a privilege to own.

Congrats Gus! Highest regards to Vince!
