This is my first dagger! 1075 Steel with clay quenched blade, Burlwood handle with mild steel pommel and diamond shaped guard. Definitely not my norm-I'm more into utilitarian knives, But thought I'd try something different. Tell me what you think. I can take the criticism. Now I've got to figure out what to do with it. Nice, I like that spearpoint/leaf style blade, nice double hamon as well.

The only thing that I don't like is the way the pommel base sticks out past the handle material, it looks uncomfortable, other than that it looks pretty cool.

I forgot: what are the dimensions of this bad boy?

Thanks. yes the pommel was something I played with and this is the second one I made the first one was flush but I didn't quite like the way it looked. the oal is 12 1/4 inc. with blade 6 1/2....steve

I like it. Cool shape and guard. I agree with your choice for the slightly larger pommel. Everything goes together nicely.

Great grinds and nice double hamon. I can see how a flush pommel wouldn't work. I like it. My only comment that is only my opinion is that the diamond shaped guard doesn't seem to go well with the rest the daggers curves.

I was going with a diamond kinda of theme I was calling it the Black Diamond But I do see what you are saying...Thanks for all the comments..Steve

Steve, Looks good very nice blade. I'm not very good at daggers and looks like you have it down pat.

I really like it just exactly like it is.
I would not change anything at all, honestly.
To me it just "looks right" !!!!

As far as what to do with it????
That's easy, send it to me..... ;)

How much???

I'd agree that the diamond shaped guard looks a little out of place but other than that, top notch work. Well constructed with excellent finish.

I agree with qxb1229, "blade profile is very beautiful". 我翻译给你...我希望这是正确的

Mr. Randall- this is quite a Knife! The lines and shape are very attractive to me. I would have liked more colour in the wood though. Very well done. Thanks for the post. BB
