Daaang, that looks good.
I might not have gone with that choice of handle material, but overall it looks good.
Very straight clean lines. A beaut.

Mark,

Very nice design and execution. The detail on the double-domed pins, coining, and tasteful filed frame sets it off.

This would have been a huge hit in the San Francisco gold rush days.

This is a very nice dagger lots of little details John is right its clean but with that old world feel thats hard to pull off with a new dagger

I changed my mind about the cross hatching, and I still think this thing is outstanding. Way to make a statement with #14. I've been planning something similar, and I think the timing will be right for it to be #114. I hope it turns out as well as yours did.

Thank you all for responding I had some doubts about this knife but excited now to move forward with the nickel silver sheath.

Looks like a sgian-dubh to me. Although I'm certainly not an expert. I don't know what you think needs changing? Looks perfect for that particular style. Maybe polish the blade or something? I think it would be easier to finish this one and start on another one in a different style. Call this one finished!:) Love it!

There was a guy looking for a sgian-dubh earlier on the forum. I think he would love to have this based on what he said....Or not...but it looks exactly what I would envision a Highlands dress knife to look like. Me personally anyway.

Can't offend you? Well.... yer momma dresses you funny, and you reak of elderberries.

But.... I like the knife. Looks pretty darn good to me!

WOW!! and that is a practice piece??? I think you can go straight to the head of the class and make the final piece. Well done. It looks very exciting as a very nice dagger and the choice of handle material is perfect also. Whoever gets the final piece will surely be excited.

I would prefer a slightly longer guard, but this is just personal preference. The execution and overall presentation is just beautiful!

Dont think there is much room for improvement on this. Really nicely done all over. As stated before old world look. Love it.
Cheers Keith
