Daggerr knives??

I finally got one of their Parrot models. Some of these knives are hard to come by now. I'm pretty mad that world conflicts keep me from getting the knives I want. I could get a bunch if I could travel to Moscow.

I used to follow them pretty regularly when they first came out and always wanted to get one. I thought it was unique that they were supposedly made in Russia. Back then there was a some speculation that they weren’t actually made there. Lately, I’ve been seeing them listed for sale as made in China, which I kinda always suspected. Turned me off of the brand little bit.

Yes they are made in China, but many models are still hard to get in the USA. I totally want one of these made for their sister company whose name I think translates to "Changes" but I haven't been able to find any over here.

Made in China? Don't think so...I bought a couple right from
daggerrknives.ru a couple years ago, both came from someplace in Russia via Russian Post, sent through Poland according to the tracking info and markings on the packages. Maybe they have them made in China, I don't know. There was a problem at one time shipping them from Russia to the US. The knives I bought direct took weeks to get here and the banks involved were having problems making the transaction happen. Maybe the China thing is to circumvent issues due to the war.....
Either way they are well made, the blade steel takes and holds a decent edge, they open and close smoothly, overall a good value.

The knives are made in China and shipped to the companies that own the rights to the design or whatever it's called in Russia, much like various lines from Kershaw, Gerber, Boker, and other companies. I wish they'd send more of them over here it seems like they could just send them straight from China. There are distributers here that have a lot of Daggerr knives, but they don't have the full line. It seems like they come over in little batches or something.

I’m not saying that them being made in China is bad, China can make very good knives. I just don’t like that they made it appear they were made in Russia, when they may not have been. It’s possible they were early on, but then later changed, I don’t know. I personally prefer to avoid made in China stuff for reasons I won’t get into, but I don’t doubt for one second they can make a quality product.
