Daido 1K6 steel?

Does anyone have any experience with this steel? Im thinking about buying a kitchen knife from Shun's Wasabi series.

This is about all I could find. I don't have one so I can't
comment with 1st hand experience.

I remember someone buying one of the shorter knives and using it as a steak knife.
