I must be REAL low-tech. Today I carried Money, keys, Boker barlow-pattern knife, and no thing else, but pocket lint.

Anyway, here's mine:

When I get home from work I add a Griffith Sierra to my belt and head for the woods with my dogs. Life is good.

I used to be one of the people that stuffed as many knives in my pockets as I could handle. I used to carry a Spyderco Endura, Starmate, Military and a leatherman and mini-mag lite all at the same time. Sometimes different knives, but the style and numbers were similar.

I fully support and encourage folks to carry any and all knives that they wish. However, I personally have toned my carry habits WAY DOWN.

My current daily carry consists of a Mike Cooper neck knife. I carry this mainly because I enjoy the quality of the knife and its a real pleasure to use for those everyday little knife tasks that come up. Its also very compact and lite wieght. For my pocket knife, the style I carry has made a real change in the last year or so. I rarely if ever carry any type of "tac-style" folder anymore. I now carry either a trapper or stockman style slip joint folder. Those are styles I have always liked, but neglected for a while when I got caught up in the hi-tech folder fad....glad I finally got over that

Somebody above mentioned that many knife knuts must also be watch lovers. I guess I am one of those. My everyday watch is a two-tone Tag-Heuer with stopwatch. Probably doesnt tell time any better than a Timex, but I still like it

Well lets take a look, shall we.....

  • LF Pocket.......Large or small lefty Sebenzas. It depends on what I am wearing or where I'm going. Today it's the small, the large is in for re-work.
  • RR Pocket.......BM330S. Small and light. Nice to have when using the bigger knives might scare people, though I have never had any strange looks when I've used the Large Sebenza.
  • LR Pocket.......An empty wallet with a SpyderCard 50/50 edge. It's empty because of.....uuuh, well, see line 1.
  • RF Pocket.......Keys with ASP Microlite in Sapphire, 14 cents, lint (in a variety of eye-catching colors), a few Cheerios (how does she do that, she's only 10 mos. old!) and breath mints.

LF - SAK Classic and Photon Microlight II, Red with lanyard
RF - Spyderco Calypso Jr, clipped, Photon Microlight II, white on keychain, with lanyard
LR - SAK, wallet
RR - available
On belt - Nokia cell and sometimes Leatherman Wave.

This hasn't changed for me since the last time this question came up except I wear the Leatherman less, though it's always in my briefcase.
