Daily EDC Poll: What kind of knives/tools do you carry?

If you were to check me at any given time, you would find:

Dedicated modern folder (most likely the 0566, chaparral, 0770cf, or 707) in either my back right pocket or IWB at 4 oclock

Leatherman juice c2 in my left front pocket or the tiny pocket that sits at the top of the right front on some pairs of jeans

Wallet in the back left pocket. the wallet actually contains so cools stuff too. In addition to the regular stuff, it has a couple matches and a striker strip, a couple bobby pins, and a couple bandaids.

Keys in the left front with the multitool. My keys are a preppers dream.... I have all the normal keys, but also have: a carabiner with a makeshift lock pick set taped to the inside (made up of a bobby pin and a modified pocket clip from a pen ), a keychain swiss army knife, a streamlight nano flashlight, a small ferro rod, and a guitar pick that I drilled a hole into (with the tip of my knife of course :D)

And then usually some chapstick thrown in wherever I find most convenient. The weather is currently getting over 100 this time of year, so....

Knives are interchangeable. Always a >=3.5" modern folder. Often I carry only one but sometimes two. Leatherman Juice CS4 is in the skinith solutions sheath. Phone is taking picture.

Hey craytab,

I was looking at your pic with your EDC equipment and was wondering in the upper-left corner I see this piece of rope, what's that for?

At work I carry a Kershaw black out or benchmade griptillian. On my keychain I keep a spyderco manbug.
These two knives are work only because they take a beating. No sence in beating all my knives up.
When I'm not at work I have a rotation that currently consist of:
Zt0566
Tsf beast
Spyderco sage1
Endura 4
These are all clipped to my right pocket.
I always keep a case peanut in my left front pocket, because its sheeple friendly.

That is a paracord "survival" Bracelet. That particular weave easily unravels to about 5.5 feet of 550 paracord which can be used for all sorts of things. While I haven't used one for actual survival, one did come in quite handy on camping trip when I forgot to bring extra cord.

This is the weave I like most:

Be careful though. Like with collecting knives. Doing stuff with paracord can be quite addictive.

Ha Thanks very much Sir for the clarification ! Looks practical indeed ;-)

Wow, an Apache!!! Haven't seen one of those in a while! I liked them so much I bought one for both of my brothers-in-law. They still carry em! (Mine is long gone. I ground the blade down to be legal where I was working. Liked it a lot, but I lost it!)

My contribution to the thread: I carry a folder and a fixed blade almost every day. Sometimes I'll just go with only the folder. I don't carry any multitools or gadgety stuff. I've got a tool bag on my Harley that's got actual tools in it. I've got tons of actual tools at home. At work I have access to about a gajillion bucks worth of actual tools. No need for me to carry anything more than my knives, lighter, cell phone, wallet, HD key, house key on my person.

A quick pic... Just finished breaking down a mountain of cardboard:

Yup, a guy on the exchange sold a couple of them about a month ago. It truly shows that if CRKT puts their mind to it they can make some fine knives with great design, fit, finish, and execution. Of course they discontinued the line. It is literally interchangeable with my Military.

Nice EDC BTW. What Sykco is that? I've always wanted to get a Busse or kin. My wallet screams at me every time I look into one. TGLB is a grail for me!

Thanks a lot brother! It's a zombie green SYKCO 311. It is an excellent knife. Very comfortable handle, great steel, very stout for it's size. I lucked into that one a while back here on the exchange - about $80 with a nice leather sheath!

If you're considering any Busse or kin, you won't be disappointed! I know it's hard to get past the prices, but once you get one in your hand that all goes away. The TGLB is an absolutely fantastic knife. I have seen one in person and it was awesome. I'd like to have one myself when finances permit!

Nice snag on that Apache! Those really are a great example of what CRKT can do.

Always a Vic Handyman in my pack
+ folder in my RFP

Others as needed day by day included multitools.

Well I have specific stuff that goes with me everyday--flashlight, insulin, blood sugar tester, needles, HTC One, Wallet, Keys. M-F 9-5 a light duty pocket knife for opening mail and boxes. Today its my orange and black Benchmade 585 Mini-Barrage.

I work in an office but am in the warehouse enough to justify (to myself anyways) having a folder in my front right pocket, a small fixed blade in a pocket sheath in my left rear pocket, and Leatherman PST in my bag with another fixed blade, and a small knife money clip. Sometimes I also carry a BK11 on my belt
