Daily things to cut

i eat my bananas like a monkey - peel from the "bottom"

i'll slice a straw at the very acute angle, then use the pointy bit as a toothpick in a pinch.

I do the banana thing with a knife. I think the only "unusual" thing I do with a knife (often my SAK) is dig out weeds in my yard. I tend to remove a few just about every time I wander around the yard, especially dang violets which are next to impossible to control with herbicides. If I'm thinking about it before hand, I'll use my Condor Bushlore as I'm less concerned about edge damage on it. But I don't wear it on my belt except when I'm working in the field. So, it often is not handy.

Time to make some My-carta :)

Never used a knife to cut open a banana—I prefer the meat bruised, smashed, then fried, if possible. I’ve seen apes eat the entire banana, skin and all. Slicing a steak, however does take a clean and sharp knife to cut properly, and I often prefer my pocketknife over low end/serrated restaurant cutlery.

I suppose my most consistent use mine see is nipping off the small hard skin pieces that form at the edge of fingernails.
