Dakota Spirit II

I was wondering if anyone has ever used the Dakota Spirit II Tanto and if anyone had opinions on using it as an edc, to be mainly used as a tool for walking stick creation but if it were nessesary as an SD weapon? It's an inexpensive knife that a friend of mine has and I love the feel of it but am afraid to thoroughly test it myself, also if anyone knows how strong the tip is would it be a good carving knife? Any help on the subject is very much appreciated, thanks.
