Damanscus, yes but what kind?

I just about to say I have seen some fine damascus knives in my lifetime, then I see these pictures!

Now I know I haven't seen them all. These are some really fine-looking ones. The amount of work that has gone into them must be mind-boggling.

Thanks, Narruc1, for that beautiful picture. That should build up my appetite to own at least one damascus before the year is over.

And RhinoKnives, Penang is still there....waiting for you to revisit the place.

I studied there in the 70s. Lived there for years. Beautiful island. Sunshine forever. When it gets too cold back where you are staying, think of the sun-kissed beaches, snow-white sand and get on board that plane and visit Penang again.

I guarantee you, you won't regret it.

I recently recieved a Neck Razor from Greg
Lightfoot made of Damasteel. It is a Swedish,
powder metalurgy, stainless damascus.I am more than pleased with it.I understand that Michael Walker has gone to using it exclusively via the info on his web site.
One of the two components is RWL-34 the Swedish equivlant to ATS-34.I have a small
straight pocket knife by Jens Anso of Denmark
and it performs extremely well.As for knife styles we all have our favorites but I sure
love Damasteel.Enough to have another on order due about Christmas.
