Yeah, I know; I have zero business starting more knives, until I finish some of the others laying around, but...
Russ Andrews was kind enough to make me a nice piece of 200 layer random pattern damascus, and I was itching to use it. Damascus mix is Aldo's W2/15N20. Piece measured about 10.5" long x 1.25" wide x 3/16" thick. Tough decision; do I leave it that size and make one long, slim slicer/dicer? Or, do I cut it in half and make two smaller utility knives. I decided to cut it, in order to maximize the steel. Here's what I came up with. Not sure what to do with the other 5.25" long piece. Still have to rough grind it, heat treat, etc...
