Well this all started because DanBo was not happy with my straight welded stacked billet. he forced me to put some pattern into it. well i did and it just turned out awful ;). I have now dubbed it the Tiger Shark, its patterned after my 2nd Amendment knives. i like this style very much. the handle is much better so i might just call this blade the 2nd Amendment MK2. so any way i had to show the pictures because i did not want to upset danbo. also this blade was etched with AC500. this is a metal acid cleaning solution. it was around 20-1 concentration and i think i would go less next time as it was still strong . I mentioned this etchent in another post and that was another reason to post the pictures. the blade is .218 thick and made from 1095 and 15n20. enjoy this pictures i hope. o and one last thing, yes i know its just a blade blank. It is going to get Snake wood scales :D to complete that tiger shark look.

JT, thanks for the look at a beautiful piece of Damascus. Could you possibly take some pics as your grind and re-etch? I'm about to grind a piece of (purchased) Damascus for the first time.

Just sawed up the snake wood. I will try and get the rest of the grinding and also the handle profiled tonight.

I think it looks like crap; pure junk. I think you need to send it to me, so that I can properly dispose of it for you. ;):D

I need some damascus in that pattern. I've got a serious shark obsession, the tiger shark tattoo I have stretching along my back from my left shoulder to the top of my right leg is proof. If you make some that is for sale please let me know!!!

Thanks :D

Like Chuck G pointed out, once you grind into that it will look significantly different. If you had increased the layer count say to 200-300 layer, it would have been down right impressive. Your patterning turned out well now just take it to the next step.
