David,
I can tell it's your knife but it's not like anything I ever saw before. Boy Howdy, it's nice.

*gasp*

You use excellent pictures, but in this case they only highlight the fact that photos can't capture the full beauty of the rope and ladder filework and ivory carving!

I wish I had $1500 burning a hole in my pocket...

Hello Lots knife

For some reason I am unable to get an email to go through to you. Please check your email address and get back to me.

This beauty arrived recently. The knife has more heft and manliness than David's excellent pictures might suggest. And a good, hearty "thwack!" too.

The quality of the fit and finish is ridiculously high. I really don't have anything to compare it to.

I enjoy taking this piece out into the Arizona sun. The knife really likes playing with the light. The fluted scales and Damascus bolsters make this a supremely civilized piece, and it's a welcome antidote to the tactical mania that dominates the auto scene. I doubt it'll do any cutting, frankly. Lots of my knives don't. Just being able to pull it out of the safe from time to time will give me lasting pleasure.

Dealing with Mr. Winston was something of a throwback, too. He's a gentleman who cares only about your satisfaction. Count me as a new Winston collector.
