damascus anvil

yeah i just like how that sounds............two of my favorite words and in the same sentence makes it even better;)

anyway, just wanted to show a little something i have in the works.

i shaped this from a block of 01,nickle. it's not high layer count or fancy mumbo jumbo pattern. to be honest it's 1 layer .......yep just one, but it'll be unique in it's self just cause it's a damascus anvil, and it will be blued.

it's about 3/4'' thick, and about maybe 1 1/2'' high, and maybe 2'' wide.
i shaped it mostly with files and a few burs in the drill press, though i did chunk it out with the band saw. i still gotta add the hardie and pritchel hole.

richard J , i got a surface frinder, i actually was gonna harden the face, but opted not to........though it's not to late???
