This is a real Damascus folder with brass liners and a brass thumb stud. Everything else on this folder is real Damascus. I'm not sure what kind of Damascus though. It was polished up really well to almost a chrome Damascus shine. There is some really interesting file work done by hand all around the handles and the liners.
This folding knife is approx 9" long open, 5 1/4" closed with a blade of 3 3/4". There is about half of a millimeter up and down blade play. Comes with a pocket clip that I got with the knife but was never installed. I personally would never carry this knife...it is more of a showcase knife that is great for display. Definitely a nice piece of art. $150 for the knife shipped to CONUS only, shipping included.
If you're interested, best way to get in touch with me is to e-mail me. More pics available.

I hope you guys don't mind me chipping in on trying to shed some light on this folder. The damascus IMO looks like your run of the mill Pakistani dama and the brass thumbstud is likewise often used on Pakistani 'custom' folders.

Check out Ebay item no. 220952734274 for a similar Strider 'inspired' folder.

This baystore Kratos Blade allegedly ships out of London, but at these prices I really don't think we should consider it likely that these knives where manufactured in the UK. In addition, the knives offered up on their webpage kratosblade.com are (poor looking) copies of everything from Mick Strider's folders over Jay Fischer's karambits to Magnus Axelson's push dagger.

If I dig a little deeper and find the domain owner behind kratosblade.com it is registered to a Muhammad Naeem in UK. IMO all points towards a Pakistani based operation, but this is as much time as my morning coffe permits me. :) Guess we won't find out unless someone contacts Mr. Naeem.

Hope you appreciate the info guys and cheers!

I'm glad you posted this. I was not aware that it was made in Pakistan. When I got it I was told it was made in the UK...which seemed credible to me but than again I don't know as much about nameless knifemakers or these strider 'inspired' folders as much as you obviously and I thank you for shedding some light on it.
It is not a strider, that's why I mentioned that it is a look alike so whoever is interested in the folder should not expect a strider.
Sorry if anyone thought I was misleading them about where the knife was made. It was not to my knowledge that it wasn't a UK maker but than again I should have done more research.
