Hello, I offer hand-made Damascus billets.

They are made from steel O2, L6, K605 Boehler Uddeholm and special Germany hard carbon steel.

In case you place the order, I will add some information how to do a heat treatment of billets.

Maximum hardness of a special hard carbon steel is 64HRc

Thanks Frank,

yes. Ratio steel O2 +L6 + K605 + high carbon Germany steel = ratio 13 : 5 : 1 : 13
Tempering (celsius) 100°C= 64-65HRc, 150°C=63HRc, 200°C=61-62HRc, 250°C=59HRc, 300°C=56HRc
Germany steel = C 1.04% (carbon)

Since 11 is gone will take # 7 and # 22. Please send me total and PayPal info. Thanks. PM sent

Has anyone seen the steel yet? Not worried yet but I have a project in mind for that steel and would like to get moving on it.
Steve

I got my billet in today. It looks really nice and is milled quite evenly. The pattern is also very distinct. Not sure if there is a technical term for it. I am new to knife-making (for my own pleasure and consumption) so my opinions are that of a novice. However, I am pleased with the steel.

I looked, but did not see any heat treat instructions. Could you post them or PM them to me?

Thanks

PS Would you please take down the image with my name and address on it. I don't want/need that out there for any data-miners to find.
