ANOTHER DAMASCUS KNIFE


BLADE: made from 1095, 15N20 & nickel, folded into 320 layers and hot-blued
HANDLE: stag with a stainless steel guard, stabilized sycamore spacer,
and a stainless steel butt
SHEATH: made from two layers of 4-5 oz. leather with an inlaid rattlesnake skin from the WV mountains
I do all my own forging, blueing in my own tanks, and make my own hand-sewn sheaths.
OAL: 8 3/4 inches
BLADE: 4 1/2 inches
BLADE THICKNESS: .139 at the ricasso

Knife and sheath look great Larry!! That is the best snake inlay I've ever seen:thumbup:
 
Very nice work Mr. Withrow. Good to see a local maker on here, I'm about an hour north of you in Gassaway.
