I'm currently in a market for a gentleman's knife. I already have a hard use EDC(0561) along with a general EDC(PM2) knife. I'm looking for a nice folder no longer than 4" but no shorter than 3" and preferably has a damascus finish with wooden inlays or wooden scales. I'm given the MCusta line a look and am intrigued considering their price to what you're getting ratio. If only I had enough for one of those awesome custom sebenzas.... Any suggestions fellas?

I don't have one, but I've eyeballed a Lion Steel Opera with wood scales and a damascus blade on some knife shop sites and it looks pretty nice, maybe that one?

My Mcusta Tactility was a great knife. For the price you pay the fit and finish is excellent I sold it off to fund another knife, but you definitely can't go wrong with one.

i forgot to mention that I'm also trying to keep it below 200USD. I love the way lion steel knives look but they're pretty expensive :grumpy:

Mcusta is probably your best bet for under $200.
If you can go a little higher than $200, right around $235 the Spyderco Caly 3 CF/Damascus Sprint is an excellent knife. It's not wood, but you can't get much classier than nice Carbon Fiber in my opinion. It's a beautiful blade.

I have the Mcusta Take and it is a nice knife. I have the Staminawod handled model, but they come in Ebony and Cocobolo.

I do not think you will find a better deal than Mcusta. There are folders with damascus blade and wood scales from Boker: but they are either from expensive German line so do not fit your price range, or are of lower grade materials (Boker Magnum line). And I like Mcusta design and damask laminated blades better anyway.

P.S. I agree that Spyderco Damascus Caly is a great option for right now: I do not know for how long it will stay available being a sprint run. But it has CF handle.

If you go with Mcusta, take a look at the quincewood and damascus model (MC-0016D). I really like the way that one looks.
