I was just passed down a beautiful damascus blade set in desert ironwood. The rivets holding the handle peices in place are a series of small handcrafted rivets inside of the main rivet, which is as big as a pencil eraser.

I just thought it was incredible the detail put into such small things as rivets, I'll see if i can get a picture online, The damascus blade goes without saying, simply amazing craftsmanship.

Hi Jedd,

Congrats and welcome. Yup, this sounds like a beautiful custom. Yup, we'd like to see it also. Do the homework and get us a pic!

Those 'rivets' you refer to are undoubtably what we call 'mosaic pins'. The patterns are nearly unlimited, and it really adds a unique touch.

See ya,

Coop
