Damascus Bowie by Kevin Cashen, MS

Thanks to all for the nice comments. Sorry for the delay.

Because of the slanted guard, I measured from the tip to the middle of guard and from there to the butt cap. The blade is 11.25" and the knife 16.50" overall. The spine is 0.25" and the width of the blade is 1.95".

Cool - now we've got complete coverage. :) Nice to have a few different looks at that multi-bar damascus pattern in the blade. Those fittings are pretty dreamy, too.

Hi Peter,

It turned out great, I like the way the outer bars meet up around the center core. This point seems beefier too, hard to get a good look but I think I prefer it over a blade with a top clip. The slant to the guard looks nice and Kevin's forged fittings are top notch, IMO. If possible I'd like to see a pic of the buttcap, is it engraved to the center or just the edges? His handles have great ergos as well, the only feature I'm not sure about are the spacers. Not necessarily bad, maybe just not needed? Nice score!

I can't wait until this weekend, to see what Kevin did with the rest of that damascus billet. Eh, Roger? ;):)
