Damascus Bowie with Ivory

Nice work. I like the profile of the guard. That's impressive working with fossilized handle material, I imagine it's not the easiest to work.

I mostly finish the handle material flush with the fittings. I do understand the thing about shrinkage but think that if the handle material doesn't shrink that material is always sticking up and to me fills bad. I have at times put a slight radius on the fittings to try and git rid of the sharp edge if the handle material does shrink.

Executed the way John White, Kyle Royer, Russ Andrews and a few others do it, I feel it adds aesthetically and ergonomically in addition to alleviating a potencial shrinkage probelm.

But, back to the featured Bowie, I feel it's the best I've seen from you to date, but I said that about your last one. It's truly special in my opinion. Materials, handle, damascus, fittings, blade profile all top notch.
