Steel: W1 and 15n20 about 300 layers, in a ladder pattern

Hardness: 58-59 Rc

Blade length: 10-3/4"

Total length: 15-7/8"

Blade thickness: 1/4"

Handle material: desert ironwood

Fittings: stainless guard and pin, with stainless and brown micarta spacers

The clip is sharp. The flats of the guard are satin finished, the insides of the lugs are mirror polished. I'll post pictures of the sheath when it's finished.

Price: $500 + $20 shipping

I'd normally charge more than $500 for a bowie like this, but there is a small cosmetic flaw which can be seen in the last three photos. I didn't think it was bad enough to waste a nice $50 block of wood to fix it, but it is bad enough that I wouldn't feel right charging full price.

I can take paypal, check, or MO. Please send paypal to 2000pjp at gmail dot com
If using a check, allow 10 business days for it to clear before shipment.

Please make sure it's still available before sending payment.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful work Phillip...gorgeous bowie! Terrific damascus, profile, guard and Ironwood!!

Philip where is the flaw? I've just spent 10 minutes of my life looking for it! :p

Incredible knife....

Thanks for all the comments fellas!

If you guys can't figure it out, I'm not about to tell you. :D

Just kidding. I've circled it here:

It's a gap, but it's filled with glue. I have no idea where it came from. It wasn't there when I dry fitted all the pieces, and it doesn't extend more than about 1/4" into the joint, which is weird.

I must say that I am more in awe of your work than ever. To see that as a flaw and point it out to us the way you have shows a lot about your character.
Most of us would never have seen it but knowing that you did and weren't going to pass it off as if it wasn't there is incredible.
Well done sir.

Wish I had seen this one earlier. Just loving everything about this one especially the handle shape. Phillip you have a pm. Rick.
