Damascus bowie

Here is one that I just finished up. It has 9 3/16" forged 1084/15N20 damascus blade. The pattern on this one is a twisted "W" pattern. The fittings are french greyed mild steel and the handle is mammoth ivory. The overall length on this one is 13 3/8".

That looks pretty darn good. I don't usually care for heavily etched pattern welded steel, but on this knife it looks great.

I liked the way the damascus turned out on this one. I think next time I will double the layer count before twisting so I can get more of the fragmented look I was just starting to get on the right side of the blade.
