Damascus & Carbon fiber fighter

Thank you guys :)

I know carbon damascus and synthetics are sacrilege to some... but I am grateful to Jon for allowing me the opportunity to try it.

One of the next orders on my list is for a differentially hardened and polished JoeP knife with carbon fiber... I'm excited about it too... especially since the cf was made for me by a friend/collector/bf member. :)

As far as balance, this piece of material was very close in weight to Ironwood, so it was pretty easy to get the balance where I wanted it. Even though this one was extra thick at the guard ~0.315 :)

This particular knife made me REALLY want to make its big brother with a 10" blade. ;) :D

Thanks again Jon!!!! :)

didn't we talk about puttin a cf handle on Wheeler's Steel?
(pretty damn happy with that koa thougha)

Nick when you are ready I have just made some more CF this week

Nice work Nick!! I'm surprised that the CF would be so heavy. I imagine it was difficult to work.

Nick I miss ya buddy call me :)

Or at least answer your phone! I've got two numbers for ya and got nothing but ring-ring-ring when I tried calling a couple days ago. Hope you're doing well, bro!

I'd almost like to see a version of this knife with a plain steel blade - no hamon, no damascus - and that handle. Sort of a clean, modern take on the theme...

Nick, I've come to the realization it doesn't matter what kind of material you're working with
you always manage to make it look spectacular ! :grumpy: ;) :D

In regards to this, I can only dream of being the "natural" you are when it comes to knifemaking skills

Very well done ! :)

Nice one Nick turned out very cool. I have talked to Rick a couple of times about his carbon fiber and after seeing this I might have to see about getting some off him. -Burton

Nick knocked this baby out of the park and into orbit! That is a beautiful combination!

If it's made by Nick it's gonna look good regardless of materials used . Congratulations Jon -
