Damascus care?

Thanks for the post. It's appreciated to hear credible information on the practical use of the DT stainless. I'll have to pick one from my collection and just go for it-- no rocks or limbs, of course! But I will need to find a way to christen it other than breaking down a cardboard box.

Cool. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at its ability to hold a good edge as compared to other premium blade steels. It's no wonder steel, but it holds up very well and certainly feels good to use.

Mine clips and strips wires, carves and splits wood (just dont split anything that requires more than your palm to spank the spine), and does more garden work that it probably should (pruning and such). I stained the blade a couple times while working with caustics, but the stains have faded to nil over time.

I will give this knife to one of my sons someday, and it seems like it'd be a shame to pass on a knife that looks NIB, right?

Im just waiting for the right combo of knife and damascus to be paired up for me to buy and then turn it into my edc.
I have a large raindrop 21 from a few years ago that i use rarely. It holds an edge really good.
