I was very generously gifted a damascus Case peanut by sitflyer last month, and I fear it has started something. I plan on going to a semi local knife shop this weekend, and will be perusing his damascus Case offering for the first time in a long while.

Share your damascus Case knives in this thread.

Why, all I got is this little 'ol thing I've been carrying around for years now. :D

That is a beauty Pete!!! The coloration of that stag goes really well with the raindrop damascus!

Here's my Damascus Peanut. It's my European vacation knife. That's a photo shopped pic but the knife was there.

No Case Bose offerings at this particular store, but he does have some Case damascus patterns. Keep them coming!

Just seen the pic of a swayback gent on a certain red roofed knife shop down south, looks ggggoooodddd!

I don't know if it was a limited production but I have a Case stainless damascus peanut. I have not seen any other patterns in stainless Damascus.

This is a very interesting thread. I'm surprised that a few of you carry and actually use your damascus Case knives. I have always stayed away from this blend of carbon steel believing that the only "good" damascus would come froma master knife smith. This is a cost that I haven't been willing to explore in a user knife.

Stainless damascus is a new one for me.I always thought of it being a carbon steel blend. Can any one help me out here. I may have had a sheltered life.

Regards, Tom

I really don't now if my damascus peanut is stainless or not, but I have not babied it. Far from it, it has been carried and used for three years now, and has been buried up to the joint in the belly of a Bluefish right out of the Chesapeake bay, to garden work. The raindrop pattern in the damascus has been muted a bit, and the bone scales have darkened a bit, but the knife seems pretty unaffected by it all. It holds an edge very well, and is a little bit of a pain to sharpen, but not bad.

This has been my only experience with damascus blades, but based on this one, I would buy more Thomas damascus in a heartbeat. It performs well, and it's pretty to look at.

I only have one, but, I am fond of it and it gets carried quite a bit.:)
