Very nice Mace! I like the shooting star in the handle, nice tight pattern too on the damascus.

The entire piece is perfect...To make the next one even more perfect maybe Mirror then HotBlue the blade. Todd Kopp does that on his daggers and it just bumps it over the top!

Man i love the Damascus, just out standing. I have a question for you. what is your material thickness you start with for the 15n20 and 1084. i have a bunch of 15n20 and I'm trying to find the right size 1080 to match it with. i like you line width ratio between light and dark.

Wow !  What an awesome little package Mace !!

I like everything about it !

You're getting d*mn good at the wire inlay my friend ;)

Mace,
It's a beauty alright. I'm still envious of the finish you get on your curly maple. It was a real pleasure talking and checking out your knives at Blade and I wanted to thank you for the tips on doing wire inlay.

As always, I say I hate coffin handles until I pick your up. This one I've handled, and I'm always amazed at how a shape with such angles still manages to feel good in the hand. In fact, were the knife my own, I'd want a more concealable sheath because despite it's obvious beauty I think it would make a stellar every day carry!

+1 on the handle finish comment.

Thanks fellas!:D

Not sure what the sizes were on this steel....I made it a long time ago.
The steel I've made as of late has been with thin 15n20 stacked up 5 high to make 1/4" thick...and 1/4" 1084. Hope that makes some sense.

Handle finish is several coats of Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil

Thanks again for the nice comments.

mace..i love the knife...almost everything about it....the one thing i think would look better is the inlay....if it was symetric.....i know it's like a shooting star but i think with the lines of the knife and the handle it woul dlook better if th elines in the star were all straight.....don't take my comment the wrong way-u made a killer knife for sure.....ryan:thumbup:
