Hello dear forum,
Here we have a 400-layer Damascus Criollo-style knife with a Patagonian deer horn handle, leather separators and antique coin pommel. It will come with a leather sheath (in progress). Criollo knives are traditionally used for eating "asado," or grilled meat, and are intimately linked to gaucho history and culture in Argentina. If you are interested in learning more about the history of knives in Argentina, check out the books by Abel Domenech.
We're asking $330 for this knife and we have Zelle. Here are the technical details:
Blade style: Criollo
Total length: 10.3 inches
Blade length: 5.5 inches
Steels used to make the blade: 1095 /15n20
Grind profile: Flat grind
Thickness at ricasso/spine: 4.8 mm
Distal taper or not: Yes
Tang style: Full tapered tang
Guard: No
Handle shape and material: Deer horn
Heat treatment: Oil
Rockwell: 60
Any other questions, feel free to hit us up and THANK YOU! Also if there's an angle you want to see on this knife that's not pictured here, please leave a comment and we're happy to provide more photos.
Thank you!
Oskar and Kristin
