Hello all,
This knife is over two years old and is some of my first damascus. This blade is made of different types of damascus or Da MESS cus.... get it!!!! There is w-2, 1084, L-6, and cable damascus in this blade. The blade is a full tang blade with 6 nickel pins. The blade is flat ground that has been edge quenched.
This blade has not been stamped with my name since it was made before I began stamping them.
Total length is 11 1/8 inches
Blade width at largest is 1 13/16 inches
blade thickness is 1/4 inch
Cutting edge is 6 1/2 inches
wood handle is 4 1/4 inches
wood is ebony, I think, this knife was made two years ago and been in my personal collection of my firsts. This is the first Saex I have made.
This knife has been forged, normalized, annealed, hardened, tempered, then assembled by me. The blade was edge quenched then soft back drawn. This is a big blade and has a nice distal taper.
The Sheath is of tooling leather that has been hand tooled by me also, There is not a keeper for the knife but this sucker is long enough to not need one unless you are doing hand stands.
Shipping included with cost of $SOLD dollars inside the Cont. USA. If using paypal my account is dpknifemaker@aol.com and please add 7% for paypal to the total. Please email for questions and as always ..........Thanks for looking.
