I have here a dagger blade that I was hoping to finish out, but as I was profiling it, I discovered some flaws in the steel, and by the time I had ground the flaws away, the shape of the blade had changed to where it just doesn't "work" for me. So I'm listing this one here, and I'll be starting over with a new billet for my project.

I'm sure that there are no more flaws in the steel, but if you should find any, then I'll refund your money.

The pattern is W's, twisted AND laddered. The steels are 1095 and 15n20.

The length from guard shoulders to tip is 12.5", and the blade is 1-5/8" at the widest. As you can see from the pics, the blade has a slightly leaf shaped blade. I've already started the guard shoulders, and I have the edge centerline scribed for you.

I think the blade is around 1/4" thick.

I'm asking $175 plus $10 shipping. I can take check, paypal, or money order, paypal preferred.

Thanks for looking,
Phillip

Was this the one on your bench when I stopped by? The damascus pattern is amazing!

Yep, shore is. Did I have it etched when you were here?

I do like the pattern so I'm going to make the next one the same, hopefully.

Man, that is an excellent price. If I just hadn't spent $300 on steel from Aldo I'd be all over it...

Ah hell, I can't stand it anymore. I'll take it!

Let me know your PP info, Phillip.

The only hold up was my funds but I worked so much OT last week in the sandbox I decided I could splurge a little :D

Thanks again, Phillip. Can't wait to see it and get started grinding :D

Sorry Phil, I just bought a sword blade blank from another maker :D There is alot of weird but good stuff for sale lately :D

Got it today! Really nice looking. I see what you were talking about having to take some meat off the leaves but I still like it. Any tips on grinding (flat) it out? Thanks again!

Take it slow. If you haven't done a lot of recurves or leaf blades, practice on something else. ;)

And make sure you post pics when it's done. :)
