1095 and 52100 steel combination Damascus. Handle is ebony and maple. Total length 250 mm, thickness 5 mm, blade 125 mm. Bolster is brass and copper.

Pretty. Two constructive criticisms... the edges of the fullered center are not as sharp as they could be. I'm thinking you need a more rigis sanding block to resolve that. Also, i can see a pretty sharp line of demarcation between the guard and the maple part of the handle. You could sand down down more and get a smoother join.

Still, gotta say it's a very nice looking dagger.

The design and shaping is very nice. Good job.

Did you make the Billet? The Blade? Both? The unetched oval in the middle is rather distracting. There is something that is wrong there. Maybe just a bad etch?
 
Thanks for comment Stacy. It isn't bad etch, oval in the middle is only ball bearing. What is "the billet", I don't understand sorry :confused:

Ahh, a ball bearing, OK.

The billet is the stack of metal layers you hammer into a bar. The finished bar is called a billet,too.
