This is a repost, with the price dropped. I am asking $475 for this BEAUTIFUL
random pattern Goose Qull Dao.
22.5" oal
17" working legth to blade (linear distance from guard to tip, measured like a wakizashi would be).
400 layers of 1075 and 15n20, hardened in oil. Tempered 3x at 400F.
Significant distal taper. .24" thick at forte, about 1/8" in the "lens" near the point.
Weight = 1.2lbs
This is a unique piece of art/weaponry. It has a very sharp complex geometry. There is a ridge running the length of the blade until the end of the fuller, and then the blade becomes lense-shaped. The edge has a bit of "meat" or niku to it, so it is robust. The false edge, not fully sharp, creates a very acute tip. The handle curves downward slightly to give extra gripping power and to align wrist properly for thrusing. This geometry of blade is made to facilitate powerful chops and accurate thrusts.
Please pm me if you are interested.
$475.00 US, delivery free in continental North America.
thank you,
Kevin
