WOW im blown away that you finished something. That knife is gorgeous. I am a sucker for ladder pattern and that fighter pattern is just great! Good luck. What else you bringing?

Looks immaculate, Nick !
Someone's gonna' be very happy !

Very nice work, Nick. Does this mean that you will have one knife on your table surrounded by VERY carefully arranged.....and rearranged...........and re-rearranged business cards, brochures and decorative items?:D Just kidding. Did you weld that up on your press, because it has that very non-random random look to it of ya know what I mean.

Thanks guys!

It feels extremely rewarding to finally be getting things straightened out in my life so that I can have quality shop time!!! :)

Joe.... yes, on the press. I think of this as a ladder-ish random because I make small, close bites with a set of fairly small radius drawing dies which creates sort of a random ladder. Actually less random on this one that I expected... but still random :)

edited to add- Thanks Jon :) I have some more in the works that should be done soon. I'll put up pics when I'm done. Hate to count my chickens before they hatch ;)

Nick, so very sweet.... and with the combo of Ironwood, .225 ricaso, and the drastic distal taper im guessing if floats in the hand.... like lightening!

The Nick Wheeler shapes and lines are unmistakable, and beautiful. So good to see.

(And the artful placement of the "Wheeler Grey Fuzz"...Magnificent!)

SOOO light! And beeeoootiful *sigh*

Holy Mackerel Andy! It's alive!

As Bobby said: I love the crisp lines, specifically the handle edges at the grip.

I'd forgotten how universally clean and immaculate the pieces are. Jeezus, I'd forgotten about Nick Wheeler making knives. :p

We're reminded now.

Spoiler: This is the second knife out of Nick's shop in the past month. Soon....

Nick,

That is a very nice piece. Whoever want's to see it on your table better get there early because it won't last long. I guarantee my friend, that knife makes up for last year's misadventure. See you soon.

Cheers,

Well, I could hardly be more thrilled to see a recent and completed Nick Wheeler knife on the forums.

That's a beauty Nick - great lines, gorgeous wood and beautiful contours to the handle. Like a Ferrari, it looks like it's going fast just sitting there.
