Man, that thing is really really nice.... I really like the damascus on that one and the handle is to kill for.. even my wife says so..:D

If I had the $$$$ i would get it...:(

by the way, I really like the design of your knives Jim, especially the recurve bit.. any chance you'd make a blade soon that is like 2 times the width??

Thanks for the comments guys!!
Tet-How wide are you talking? This one is 1" at the widest part of the recurve...?

Jim, that's a fine knife. I love the handles. I don't think most makers use a solid peice of damascus for the whole knife. I've seen a lot weld it to a peice of 440C for the tang. I like the way you did it. Looks better, but costs more. As for the strngth of the tang being stronger I don't know because I haven't done either. Great work as usual.

Thanks for the comments John, This knife was origionally for a guy that was going to use it for hunting and it was going to see some rough use...I dont like to weld my damascus blades just for the fact that I feels its a weak point and could break...So I like to go with solid construction...and with the rough use in mind I used 3/16" damascus..and redwood for handles is quickly becoming one of my fav. woods to use...it can have so much personality to it!

Would you be interested in suppling this wonderful knife with a sheath like the one you pictured with your 01 Recurve Tactical? Would shipping to Canada be a problem? Please e-mail me at -edit- so that we could work out a deal on this great blade. Thanks Mike

I can't wait to hold this in my hand. Wish the days would go a little faster till this shows up at my door. This post is just a tease till then. Cheers

Jim thank you very much for this blade! It arrived today and I ran to the post office to pick it up. It fits my hand perfect and is a very strong design. This is my first custom and I love it! I am glad that I included the leather sheath with the Kydex one. They are great. I have been showing this off at work allready and my co-workers are very impressed. Thank you and keep up the great work!
