I forged a square billet of 120 layer using 1095 and 15N20, used a drift for the eye and then forge it to shape. Heat treated with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to Rc58-60.
The haft is red oak 17 inches long
The head length is 7 1/2 inches long with a 3 inch cutting edge
