Bough a new huge oven for heat treatment yesterday and so this one must go.
It´s a hunter by Ricardo Vilar, one of the most talented Brazilian Bladesmiths and an apprentice and friend of MS Jerry Fisk - and its needles to ´say that his work has been strogly influenced by his mentor´s style. Ricardo is the current chairman of the Brazilian Knifemakers Society, has already passed his JS Performace test and should soon become the first Brazilian Journeyman.
The knife has a 4" long beautifully patterned damascus blade, stainless guard, nicely colored pau ferro wood handle, and sports the typical atention to detail and fine craftsmanship that are expected from this maker. It comes with a leather sheath by Ricardo.
