I'm not sure you will receive much feedback on your knife in this forum (custom and handmade). I apologize if this sounds harsh but you did ask for opinions. First, it's not really a custom or handmade knife if you just did some stone work on the handle. Second, Damascus blades from Pakistan have a terrible reputation in the US as being cheap junk. Most of it (perhaps not all) is poorly made from junk steel without proper heat treat. The Ebay market is full of this stuff and buyers should be cautioned not to spend much money on it. It really does not make a good knife. Third, the stone work you did on the handle is quite poorly done, in my personal opinion. The fit and finish is very bad with large gaps and uneven surfaces. I think most people here will simply refrain from comment rather than risk offending you. Please don't take this as an insult or a suggestion that you are not welcome in this forum. That is not my intent. This is a great place for you to learn and see great work on Damascus and handle materials. Perhaps you should check out the Shop Talk forum where they discuss "how to" build handles and discuss what makes good Damascus steel.

^^^ Appropriate answer. Well said.

In the US, probably the best 'Custom' maker using stone handle materials is Jay Fisher. No one does stone handles better. He is the 'gold' standard to learn from.

I'm sorry, but all I see in the photos is a really ugly Pakistan blade and a rather poor lapis handle. Fit and finish are non-existent.

I can't really say any more than that about this knife.

Someone with a different user name recently posted photos with that same tracker blade. was that you?

You might want to take the price and sales info off those comments under the pictures, we aren't allowed to advertise or post any links to advertiements unless we pay for a knifemakers membership.
