Damascus / ivory integral by Russ Andrews, MS

Hubba Hubba

Could you post a picture of the "carbon and gidgee" if you have a chance? I'd like to see the evolutionary process.

I'd rather go to Rogers house than the Blade Show.

Guys...The comments are appreciated...Thanks.

A thumbnail of the Gidgee integral is attatched, and another of the underside of

this ones bolster area.

The ivory on the knife is the same as shown with the sketch. Some of the

interior colors show more due to some light sanding.

The outer ends of the pin holes were slightly countersunk for peining the

pins.

The opposing twist was made by ripping the billet lengthwise, twisting each

piece once, then rewelding. The blade and tang were forged to near full

size, then the ladder was filed in..

Paul really does some extraordinary leatherwork..!! And Coops photos are...as usual..

top notch....Thanks to you both.

And Roger, Thanks for the chance to do this for you.

Super work, Russ! Congrats, Roger! Love the bolster twist and final product. Great looking integral.

And, Paul makes it look very comfortable covered up!

Funny.... as awe inspiring as the damascus integral is... the little straight steel, integral hunter trips my trigger even more.

Damn that Russ Andrews can make a sweet knife!!!  :D

Well, Roger whenever you get over here, I'm sure i'll be having a great time enjoying the new goodies you have for show and tell. Looking forward to it.

My oh my, not sure how I missed this one. What a stunner. I am in awe at the knife, sheath and photo.
