Thanks for looking,

Not sure how useful it would be except perhaps for cutting people. I could never afford it. But I still love it. Beautiful stuff!

That is one serious, big beautiful knife. I hope it finds a loving home soon.....;):D

Thanks! Me too. ;)

I use mine all the time for pruning trees, clearing brush, etc. Besides that is the "cool" factor. :D
I sincerely hope no one would use it for cutting people...

Well, I always say, Choose the right tool for the job at hand...
Take that as you will..

Ever wonder why the Kukri has the shape and weight it does???

well it ain't for skinning a bunny, or gutting a fish...

Is the top edge sharpened on this one?
Full length or just to the drop?
What does it weigh?

Trying to think of a practical use for this one but just seeing the neighbors face as you destroy a hedge or tree would be worth the admission cost :D

Beautiful blade - Phillip

Hi,
Not sure what your point it, would you mind elaborating?

Thanks,

Hi Mike,
Just answered your email, but their good questions, so I'll answer them again here. :)

Neither edge is actually sharpened yet, which means the top edge could be sharpened or not, depending on what the customer wants. Having the top edge sharpened would be handy if you're using it as a weapon, but not so much for trimming hedges. :-)
On my own Jungle Honey, I don't have the top edge sharpened, and I haven't missed it.

It weighs 33.5 ounces.

The core is 1084. It's very thin. You can see it a little bit on one side of the blade, but not much on the other.

Just so there's no confusion, I didn't design this piece. It was first made by Jimmy Fikes, and he gave me permission to use his design.

Thanks everyone for your comments. :)

Phillip, thanks. And to answer "what are they for?" Jimmy Fikes made them for some of our "Elite" (snake eaters) that were doing some "work" down in S. America. It was designed to be able to get through the thick jungles down there, cutting both coming/going. It was also meant to be used as a weapon if need be.

I really like this damascus version, really lends itself to that blade shape/design, good job indeed!~!

Every time I see you make one of these it makes my fingers ache, Phillip... I think I said this when you posted your last one. That's a LOT of cord to keep tight and straight! OWWWOWWWOWWWOWWWW!!!

The damascus is perfect for this piece, man. I really wish I could put it all together like you do. Great work!

btw, you seem a bit low on price for this... forming a rough estimate in my head on what it took to make that I'm thinking you're low by at least $200. Someone's going to get a deal...
